The Watchtower Corporation gets to legally keep all the money and property assets, even if it does fail or reduce in numbers
by Finkelstein ini think its vitally important to realized that the wts now has as of this year probably close to 2 billion in overall assets worldwide that it can live off for a very long time.
i get this gut feeling that the wts heads are positioning themselves and the organization in tentative survival mode for the long run.. so many cut backs, the selling off of many branches, the down sizing of much of its operations, are all tell tale hints that even the heads of this organization are preparing for the eventful devolving of this organization.
the wts gb leaders say that jah's chariot is moving along at a faster pace but in reflection of how this organization been conducting itself as of late, that wouldn't necessarily be the real truth of the matter.

And for our American cult leaders and their fave lawyers - the Cayman Islands will set you up with a phoney bank, a phoney company and a phoney charity. These are tiny private companies with any number of directors who spend the money world-wide using credit cards connected only to the host country.

Why would a nice young guy like him have only one friend among millions of 'brothers"? ... oh yeah, it's a cult.

Hello TBB-
The following advise was well received on a previous thread -
http://mormon-alliance.org/casereports/volume3/http://mormon-
you have constitutional rights to freedom of religion, expression, belief and association,
I have advocated at various times on this site, that those wishing freedom from this or any cult should simply exercise their rights by making a written, dated, declaration of their personal religious freedom to a trusted friend or counselor/lawyer. Do this while you are still in "good standing".
It is you alone that decides what faith if any that you chose to practice and you are free to abandon any faith at any time, for any reason, without interference.
You have already ceased presenting yourself as a JW by fading from the cults meetings, commenting to espouse their propaganda and sharing in their public displays of activity - DO NOT be drawn back under the ecclesiastic authority of the congregation by allowing them to meet with you! ( the elders manual states that agreeing to meet with them affirms your acceptance of the congregations authority) DON'T DO IT!
Let them be the last to know that you have already acted in accordance with your legal rights and that any actions then taken after that fact (ie.against a non-member) will be to invite prosecution.
The link above discusses how Norman Hancock sued the Mormons for similar interference of his rights - enjoy

Your highlighted quote above is a verbatim quote from Jdub.org
It is classic JW bait and switch - they posed one question and proceed to answer a completely different one.
Those unfamiliar with the cult lingo will not realize the HUGE distinction betwwen former members and inactive.
Completely dishonest as are all things JW.

Quality of JW teaching from elders
by sir82 inthere was a recent thread on the "quality" of converts to jws in recent years.
it wasn't a pretty picture, based on the thread contents.. well, the lack of depth isn't restricted to new converts.. in our clam this week, one of the principal points for review was this:.
ne 1:1; 2:1—why can we conclude that “the 20thyear” mentioned at nehemiah 1:1 and 2:1 is countedfrom the same starting point?

A speaker from the edge of the city noticed that on the farms nearby, the trees in the woods didn't have any branches or leaves until 5 or 6 feet up from the ground. In his talk to a local congregation, he pointed out what a loving provision the creator had made for the cows - in making the trees with no nasty branches on the bottom.
Someone actually had to tell him that it was the cows who had eaten and broken all the vegetation from the tree bottoms -funnee!

You have a wonderful ally in your sister. Her learned recommendation to see a lawyer is spot on, as you have constitutional rights to freedom of religion, expression, belief and association,

Writing my Disassociation letter
by Bebopin intoday i am working on writing my disassociation letter.
i successfully faded a year ago.

Hello Bebopin-
You have a legal right to freedom of religion - you are legally free to adopt or discard any religion at any time for any (or no) reason. This right is one of your constitutionally protected human rights. To interfere with a person exercising their constitutionall rights is to invite litigation and the Watchtower fears litigation above all else.
Here's an appealing alternative that excludes the congregation and body of Elders from involvement in your freewill decision to abandon their cult whenever you please -
Write a cathartic, dated letter expressing whatever you feel necessary. Structure the letter around your recent decision that - for the reasons given in the letter- you have already abandoned the religion (past tense).
Send this very personal, private letter to someone you trust, a real friend - not a JW! not the elders , not the society as these are the source of your problem, not it's solution. Make sure your friend keeps or returns your letter for you
You are now CULT FREE legally. in writing, witnessed by your friends receipt of your letter!
Since you are no longer a cult member you have to stop doing supporting cult activities - answering, preaching their propaganda, meeting parts etc. You can still attend the pubic talks and invited gatherings...
AS a non-member you are no longer under the ecclesiastic authority of the BOE thus, any Judicial action or anouncements regarding your activities or personal choices would be a violation of your rights ( include this detail in your letter to your friend.)
You will still be shunned and gossipped by the dimwit drones but your days of elder hassle are over - enjoy!
